FAQ

How is a “word” defined?

A run of letters, digits, or apostrophes. Punctuation and spaces separate words, so “don’t” counts as one word.

How are ties broken?

Words with the same count are listed alphabetically, so the output is stable and predictable.

Can I skip common short words?

Set “Ignore words shorter than” to, say, 4 to drop most filler words like “a”, “the”, and “of”.
